Makeup Tips

Inexpensive products that help Eyeshadows stick!

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on eyeshadow
primers you can take the inexpensive route and use
cream eye shadows. Here are some examples of some
that I like to use.

Nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencils, Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows.
Rimmel Eyeful Eye Glisteners.

The Nyx Jumbo eyeshadow pencils are $4.99
and you can get them in Canada at Save on foods
they will show you whats closest to your location.
Or you can get them online and they ship from Canada for
Canadian customers so you dont have to pay a lot for shipping
if you were trying to get it from the states.

Here are some swatches of a few that I own and
what they look like when you blend them.

The Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows you can find
at most drugstores and walmarts. price in Canadian is
around $9.00 or so plus the taxes, don't forget with
this one you get 4 creme shadows so the price in
my opinion is fair.

Rimmel Eyeful Eye Glisteners go for around
$9.00 each little more than the others I mentioned
but all do the same job. They work as great bases
for your powdered eyeshadows to stick to.

How to use them, just apply a little bit to your
eyelid and blend it in then apply your eyeshadows
as you normally would.

Color Correctors
Ever been in the makeup section and there near the concealers is what looks to be a green lipstick?
haha! It's actually a color corrector. If you apply
that green over red spots on your face that
you don't want to be red the green will Cancel
out the red. They also have a yellow that cancels out purple and orange aka Salmon color corrector that cancels out Blue ( usually used for under eye circles).  Don't worry when you apply them on
your face they don't show up as green or yellow! They blend in nicely, then you can just finish your makeup as usual foundation, etc. The way to use the color wheel is to look at the problem colors below ( Blue,Purple,Red) and straight across from the
color you want to fix is the corrector color. Green
cancels Red, Yellow cancels purple, and Orange cancels blue.

What color eyeshadow to use?

To make this easier on yourself and I go to your local arts and crafts store and buy a "Color wheel" lol there 5 bucks if not keep reading!

Anyways on a color wheel it tells you what colours go good with other colors.
What colors compliment each other omg if you love playing with colors and you have no idea how to make them look good buy a color wheel!! It will change how you use colors!!
Sorry I'm really excited! :D

OK for Blue eyes: Use Warm Colors ie: Red,Orange,Yellow, colors with those colors in them, think of fire when your trying to remember!

Green eyes: Can use all the warm colors plus purple.

Hazel eyes (well aren't you lucky) Goes with almost everything because hazel eyes are like a mish mash of colours so you cant go wrong but I would recommend Browns and pinks!

Brown eyes: Use Cool colors ie: Blue,Green, and Purple.

Now I know as your reading this your thinking WHAT!? I'm not putting bright red, green or blue on my eyes I'm going to look like a clown! hahah. I'm talking Shades, tints, tones of those colors

Example when you add White to Blue it turns into a light blue or when you add Grey (white and black) to blue you get a light smokey blue or when you add black to blue you get navy or dark blue.
Light blue=Tint of blue
smokey blue=tone
Dark blue=Shade

How to Apply Eyeshadows

Here are some steps on how to apply Eyeshadow!

Step 1: Apply your favorite eyeshadow primer ( this is optional depending on how long you want the shadows to last, primers help the shadows from creasing and help them stay on longer and help the colors become more vibrant).
Step 2: If you don't want to use primer you can use any cream eyeshadow of your choice and apply that on the lid to make your eyeshadows stick!
step 3: Apply a lighter shade on the inner corner of your lid then a darker shadow on the outer corner to give that light reflecting effect!

That's my Tip hope it helps!

Here are some steps on how to achieve a flawless face.

Step 1: Make sure to wash your face and exfoliate at least once a week.

Step 2 : Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize!! use your favorite face moisturizer right after washing and drying your face.

Step 3: you can now apply your favorite foundation or Mineral foundation all over your face and neck. ( foundation is used to even out your face complexion so you don't have dark and light spots its all the same color)

Step 4: Now apply concealer to your trouble area's ( blemishes, acne, dark under eye circles)

Step 5: this is Optional!! Set your face with your favorite face powder could be a color or translucent.

And that's how you can achieve a flawless face! Try it out!

Don't forget to have 2 different colors of foundation a dark one for the summer when your tanner and a lighter one for the winter.
